How to Submit a Ticket That Gets Resolved Faster

The more context you give us up front, the less back-and-forth it takes to get your issue resolved. Follow these guidelines when submitting a ticket in the Triumphant Customer Portal to help our team jump straight into fixing the problem.

1. Use a Descriptive Title

Skip vague titles like "Issue" or "Not working." A good title tells us what's wrong and where, at a glance.

  • Weak: "Computer problem"
  • Better: "Outlook won't sync new emails on office desktop"

2. Choose a Relevant Category

Select the category that best matches your issue. This routes your ticket to the right technician faster and avoids delays from re-routing.

  • Pick the closest match if you're unsure, you don't need to be exact, just reasonably close.

3. Select the Related Assets

Under the Asset tab, tag the specific asset(s) affected — such as the server, endpoint, or device the issue is tied to.

  • This lets our team pull up the exact asset's history and specs immediately.
  • It also cuts down on the "which computer/server is this?" follow-up questions that slow things down.

4. Write a Detailed Description

Include as much relevant detail as you can:

  • What's happening — What exactly is going wrong? Any error messages? (Screenshots help a lot here.)
  • When it started — Did this begin after an update, a specific action, or out of nowhere?
  • Who/what is affected — Just you, or multiple people/devices?
  • How often it happens — Every time, intermittently, only under certain conditions?

5. List What You've Already Tried

Let us know any troubleshooting steps you've already taken, even if they didn't work. For example:

  • Restarted the device or application
  • Checked your internet connection
  • Tried logging out and back in
  • Ran a specific fix someone suggested

This helps us avoid asking you to redo steps that didn't solve it, and points us toward what to try next.

Quick Recap

A well-submitted ticket includes:

  • A clear, descriptive title
  • The correct category
  • All related assets tagged
  • A detailed description of the problem
  • Any troubleshooting steps you've already tried

The more of these boxes you check, the faster we can get you back up and running.
