How Backups Work

Triumphant uses Acronis to back up your devices and protect your data. Most of this happens quietly in the background. Here's what's actually going on and what to expect.

The Backup Schedule

  • A full backup is taken once a month, capturing a complete copy of your device.
  • Incremental backups run daily, around noon, capturing only what's changed since the last backup.

Together, these give us a current, reliable recovery point without re-uploading everything from scratch every day.

Storage Included

Backup storage is included as part of your plan, up to a point: 1 TB per covered user and 3 TB per server. That's well above what a normal device or server actually needs, a typical machine's monthly full backup plus 30 days of daily incrementals lands well under that limit.

If an account is approaching its limit, we monitor for that and reach out before anything changes, this isn't something that turns into a surprise line item. Storage used beyond the included amount is billed at $15/TB per month, see Understanding Your Invoice for how that shows up on your bill.

If a Device Is Offline

If your device is offline when a scheduled backup tries to run, it will retrigger automatically the next time you're back online and logged in.

Restoring Data

If you need a file, folder, or an entire device restored:

  • Submit a ticket describing what you need restored and, if known, roughly when it was last in the state you're looking for.
  • A technician will locate the right recovery point and walk you through, or handle, the restore.

About Recovery Speed (RTO/RPO)

The schedule above is our standard baseline, included for every client. Some environments need faster recovery, less time offline (RTO) or less data at risk between backups (RPO), than the standard schedule provides. Faster RTO/RPO options exist and are configured on a per-tenant basis. Ask your account manager if that's worth discussing for your organization.
