What to Expect in Your First 30 Days

A week-by-week look at what onboarding with Triumphant actually looks like, from kickoff to steady-state support.

What to Expect in Your First 30 Days

Onboarding is a real, multi-week investment from our team, not a quick account setup. Here's roughly what that looks like and when.

Week 1: Kickoff & Assessment

We start by inventorying and locking down every device and account you have, a full, multi-page checklist covering every device, user, application, and server, plus network details, domains, certificates, and hardware warranty dates, before anything goes live under our management. If your current setup needs cleanup work before we can support it properly, that gets scoped and quoted as a separate, upfront project rather than buried in a surprise later. You'll also get your Triumphant Customer Portal account during this window, that's your window into tickets, billing, and the assets we manage for you going forward.

Week 1: Locking Down Identity & Access

Your Microsoft 365 tenant gets set up or brought under our management, licenses provisioned, and access configured properly. Every user gets enrolled in MFA (with passkeys available from day one for anyone who wants the stronger option), and Keeper gets rolled out so credentials stop living in spreadsheets and sticky notes.

Week 2: Deploying the Security & Monitoring Stack

This is where the tools that watch your environment go in: Huntress for detection and response, automated patching so devices stay current without anyone chasing updates manually, and backups configured and stored properly from the start. We don't just turn backups on and assume they work, before go-live, we confirm the first scheduled backup actually completes, and perform a real test restore to prove the recovery path works before you ever need to rely on it.

Week 3: Network & Hardware

If it's needed, business-grade networking equipment goes in (see Our Networking Standards), hardened against our security baseline before go-live, not left on default settings. We also establish the baseline for hardware lifecycle tracking going forward, so replacement conversations start well before anything actually fails.

Week 4: Kickoff Call

Once everything above is in place, we get on a call to close the loop directly:

  • Confirm your environment is fully onboarded and monitored
  • Walk through what qualifies as a true emergency and how to reach the emergency line
  • Explain ticket submission through your portal, standard SLA is a 4-hour response window and a 24-hour resolution window, with effectively no cap on how many you submit
  • Walk through exactly what you're paying for and what to expect going forward
  • Confirm your first invoice and billing are active
  • Present our Certificates of Insurance (General Liability and Technology Errors & Omissions)

Day 30 and Beyond: Steady State

By this point, the heavy lifting is done, from here it's normal, ongoing support, plus a scheduled 30-day check-in to make sure nothing's fallen through the cracks. That means submitting tickets for anything that comes up, remote support when something needs a technician's hands, and the emergency line for anything urgent or security-related. Our security principles are the thread running through everything above, this is what building on top of them actually looks like in practice.

What We Need From You

  • Respond promptly during the assessment phase, the checklist moves faster with your input than without it.
  • Expect (and budget for) a cleanup project if your current setup needs one, it's quoted upfront, not sprung on you.
  • Approve quotes for any needed hardware or cleanup work promptly once onboarding identifies them, delays here are the most common reason onboarding runs longer than it needs to.
